What version of TLS does Orchid email functions use?
The latest product updates of Orchid products support Ssl3, Tls1.0, Tls1.1, Tls1.2, and Tls1.3.
We use the .Net SmtpClient class to send emails. In the Email configuration screen, you select the encryption method as TLS if you need encryption and the email server takes over.
If they have .Net 4.5 installed then it will use up to TLS 1.2.
Support for TLS1.0 and 1.1 deprecated
Microsoft has recently stopped support for TLS1.0 and TLS1.1. If you have any issues emailing, please ensure you download and install the latest product update for your Sage 300 version. This applies to version 2017 and above of Sage 300.
Support for TLS 1.2 was added in April 2020.
